Patti James, Director of Little Treblemakers, is a Licensed Kindermusik Educator and Suzuki Violin and Viola teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching music to children of all ages.   She began her formal music studies with piano lessons of 5 and began Suzuki Violin Lessons at the ripe old age of 8.  As a young musician she attended innumerable Suzuki Institutes, Arkansas Governor's School, Sewanee Summer Music Center, Aspen Summer Music Festival eventually graduating from Bard College with a BA in Music and German. She attended Smith College as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and completed  coursework towards an MA in Musicology.  She has performed on both Violin and Viola with various ensembles and orchestras in New York, Arizona, and Los Angeles and appears in Music Videos and Film.  She has had the joy of sharing Kindermusik with her daughter, who is now an accomplished Level 7 gymnast. She and her ten-year-old still enjoy daily bonding by singing Kindermusik songs and an ever increasing repertoire of Broadway hits.
